The Institute of Communication Agencies, founded in 1905, represents Canada’s communications and advertising agencies. ICA’s member agencies and subsidiaries account for over 75% of all national advertising in Canada. ICA promotes higher standards and best practices, and serves as the largest source of information, advice and training for Canada’s communication and advertising industry, whose economic impact is worth $15 billion annually.
The ICA also proudly spearheads Advertising Week, which takes place in Canada’s 6 creative hubs every January – including Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. It is a global initiative that celebrates the energy and momentum of Canada’s communication industry and it is the largest gathering of advertising professionals in the country.

Ad Women Club of Toronto was launched by the ICA in 2009. Ad Women of Toronto already serves as an important link for women in communications. It enables an exchange of wisdom, passion and power – harnessed by our members in this industry and beyond – and provides a forum for women to collaborate, network, inspire and debate. Ad Women of Toronto provides a number of networking and speaker series events throughout the year that are extremely helpful for women in communications whether they’ve just started their careers or have been rocking that executive chair for a long time.
